We loved our classes with Emily! We booked the Crash Course package (2 90-minute sessions) given our timing leading up to our wedding. Emily asked us what we were looking for and gave us what we wanted—a fun, choreographed routine that was filmed after each session so that we could practice a bunch on our own. Emily was great to work with, funny, and catered to our different dance experiences. She was very quick to text us back with a helpful video when we couldn't remember how to best do a certain step when we were practicing. The 90 minute classes flew by. I'd highly recommend taking classes with Emily if you want to feel prepared for a first dance that is more involved than step-touch-step-touch. Also, her rates are very reasonable! Seriously just book her. Out of all of the things we had to plan for our wedding, this was pure joy.

No one made us feel as comfortable and like ourselves as Emily! We started with absolutely no knowledge of how to dance and very little sense of rhythm. Emily was patient and kind and made us feel so comfortable learning with her.
We were so hesitant to find a dance coach after going to a more formal studio where they tried to pressure us into a crazy expensive dance class package.
I am so glad we found her and we are so thankful for her patience, expertise and kindness.

Put simply, Emily is the best! Dance lesson with her were the highlight of our wedding planning process! She is fun, professional, and efficient- and her flexibility and willingness to expand her hours right before our wedding to fit us in was such a stark contrast to all the other vendors we worked with. We loved working with her so much (and our dance was so amazing!) that we are now going to take lessons with her post wedding, just for fun. She even got my husband to open up and enjoy the process (despite being very nervous!). She also choreographed a family dance routine for my parents and siblings that was the highlight of the wedding for them- and made it very easy to share and learn over video. Just book with Emily! She's the only way to go!
We were not the best planners. We realized a bit late that we had n0 clue what to do for our dance. Neither of us had any training; and while we liked to move our booties, we wanted something a bit more formal. Enter Emily. In 4 lessons, we went from nothing to having an amazing dance that incorporated all the requirements: spins, a dip and a lift. She figured out a way to get two non-dancers to deliver something we are so so proud of. Thank you so much for the memories Emily!

Emily is a miracle worker!!!! We came to her as mediocre dancers with a deficiency in rhythm looking for wedding first dance lessons. She turned us into superstars and her choreography was on point. We got so many compliments on our dance & it honestly was the highlight of our wedding. Would recommend to anyone!

Hired Emily last minute due to poor planning on our behalf and unexpected illnesses but we couldn’t be happier with the results. The truth is in the name! We certainly did not think we would be able to pull off our wedding dance, let alone well. Emily made the process easy and fun, and came up with a really great routine for our wedding dance. She was incredibly professional but most importantly, kept the entire process fun. We contacted Emily to learn a first dance for our wedding. I travel frequently for work and a flexible instructor was a must. Emily offered a virtual tutorial class which was great for learning the basics. She then designed a unique dance with every turn, lift, and pacing we wanted. She recorded a wonderful how to which gave us all the tools for success. We then were able to schedule 4 in person sessions to fine tune all of our steps and the dance. The whole process was super easy to navigate and she broke down instruction in such a digestible way. We couldn’t be happier with her, the experience, and how our dance turned out. We recommend Emily to anyone who wants to take their dancing to the next level, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned dancer.

Working with Emily was an absolute joy. My wife and I were looking for a dance instructor to help us with our first dance for our wedding this past Fall. We both have left feet and Emily was the perfect dance instructor who made us feel so comfortable and even made us look like dancers! Emily was super fun to work with and we enjoyed our dance lessons with her leading up to our wedding. We absolutely adored working with Emily. She is the most incredible teacher and made the whole experience fun, easy to learn, and tailored to what we wanted for our first dance.
Firstly she just has the most radiant personality that makes you instantly at ease the second you meet her. She has a magical ability to listen to your first dance song and come up with the perfect choreography even if she hasn’t heard the song before. The way she teaches step by step and records you at the end of each lesson so you can practice and refer back to the correct steps works super well.
We would recommend her to anyone and if you’re looking for someone for guidance with your first dance, definitely go with Emily.
